SEMINAR ON THE TOPIC; “THE BUSINESS OF BEING AN AUTHOR”

This is to bring you greetings from Uganda Textbook Academic and Non-Fiction Authors Association (UTANA). 

UTANA’s mission is to “promote the rights of academic and non-fiction authors through advocating for the recognition of their works and protection of their rights, products and services in collaboration and cooperation with all stakeholders in the book value chain”.

As part of its earlier planned activities, UTANA has organized a seminar on the theme; The Business of being an Author: Authors Recovery Strategy for Post Covid19 scheduled for Friday, 26th November 2021 from 11:00am to 1:30pm at Silver Springs Hotel Bugolobi.

 

The seminar is meant to expose Ugandan Authors on the global trends and developments in authorship and provide strategic direction for mitigating the challenges caused by COVID-19

  2. 30th April 2020, A Call for UTANA Grant Support announced on website and electronic media (Whatapp, Listserve and UTANA Website and news coverage though Press release)
  3. 11th May 2020, Board Meeting to approve the Selection Criteria
  4. 22nd May 2020: Stakeholders Sensitisation workshop for authors and prospective beneficiaries and other stakeholders
  5. 26th June 2020 deadline for submission of Proposals
  6. 8th to 10th July 2020, Retreat for Project Review Committee for selection of beneficiaries
  7. 14thAugust 2020: Giving of the Award to the beneficiaries.
